A MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN
The College of Computer Engineering and Science (CCES); previously known as the College of Information Technology has witnessed remarkable developments since its initiation in 2006. In 2007, there were only two faculty members, two labs, and only a handful of students. At the present time, we have over 12 outstanding and highly distinguished faculty members and approximately 6 Lab Instructors, over 10 labs, and over 400 students.
Additionally, over the growing years of the College of CCES, the college has lashed and continuously lashing partnership with major and leading Computer Engineering and IT Industries to provide direct and extensive exposure and practical experience for our students. All these accomplishments resulted in graduating very successful and highly distinguished students; the class of 2010-2011 and will continue to lead to the graduation of more and more successful dynamic students.
Please accept my heartiest congratulations. It gives me great pleasure to praise you on the successful completion of your degrees in distinction which is an excellent and honorable attainment for yourself and for the College of CCES. I have always been very proud of the type of students the college of CCES holds, both males and female students. You have repeatedly shown me that you are a person who wants to prove his or her status in life as an aware, educated, useful, and efficacious human being who possesses great characteristics, such as ambition, a desire to obtain knowledge, and open-mindedness. All the college of CCES students have displayed exceptional performance and proven themselves to be excellent leaders who are continuously aspired to achieve the highest accomplishments in their educational and professional endeavors.
In particular, I am very proud of all female students who have demonstrated and proven themselves to be very successful and highly compatible with male students in difficult and male dominant fields such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and Information Technology. These fields have been particularly known to attract male students more than female students in the Middle-East region. It gives me an immense pleasure to have strong and powerful female students graduating from the college of CCES.
Most of the College of CCES graduates are already employed in leading companies such as ARAMCO, and some are employed by PMU. I am confident that all the graduating class of 2010-2011 will be employed by highly reputable and distinguishable institutions. Congratulations again to our graduates on finishing their degrees with great success and accomplishment and I hope all of you will keep in touch with us. We are very proud of your exceptional achievements and urge you to continuously be part of an active global community of leaders, scholars and thinkers and to continue to achieve more aspirations for your future.
Dr. Jaafar M. Alghazo
Acting Dean of The College of Computer Engineering and Science
